He became the youngest goalkeeper to play and win a Champions Leaguefinal, at the age of 19. He began as a starter, until Cesar Sanchez Dominguez won the position, which he would recover in the Glasgow final. At 22, Iker had played 239 games and won two Champions League titles, two LaLiga Santander trophies, two Spanish Super Cups, a European Super Cup and a Club World Cup.

After playing two seasons at Sevilla, Sergio Ramos signed for Real Madrid at 19 for 27 million euros. In his second season he was the first-choice right-back and three years later he had already played 175 games and scored 24 goals, having won two leagues and oneSpanish Super Cup.
